Who Are Those People on the Bus?

Like most Americans, I see Greyhound buses on the road all the time. Who actually rides those buses? This is a question I always wanted answered. Now, thanks to author Mike Pentecost, I have an idea of who those passengers are and how compelling their real life stories are.
Proving the theory "everyone has a story" is correct, Pentecost spent 30 days inhabiting a world foreign to most of us. We barrel down the highways of life in our vehicles - usually as sole occupants - with our own agendas, timetables and routes. Pentecost sheds light on those who depend on mass transit to set their agenda, timetables and routes.
It is an interesting premise and an interesting read into a world most of us will never experience.

This guy has guts!

I know I would never do this, so I am glad Mike Pentecost did. What a view of humanity! I could not put this book down. He did an amazing job capturing the colorful dialogue and seemed to find his own voice along the way. By the end of the read I felt like I had been right next to him on the bus. I hope he finds another creative way to explore humanity and America. I would love to read it.

Interesting Take on America

Very interesting conversations with random people on the bus. My long bus ride was 50 years ago, and all I can remember are my swollen ankles from sitting so long. If Greyhound cares as little as they seem to, I doubt they care about what the author has said about them.
