The jokes are fun, but there's more...

As the introduction clearly states - all combinations of the zodiac can work with great success, but reaching equilibrium may take work in some areas in some cases and other work in other areas for other cases. Brad Kronen, the Hollywood Astrologer, has been working in astrology and people's relationships for so many years - and you can see that from the conversational ease with which he discusses the similarities, wants and needs of people as seen from their zodiac birth sign. I could see quickly that his mission was to help people in their search for love and happiness.

Before I bought the book, I was worried that analyzing all the signs would be a bit of a slog, but, thankfully, Kronen's a natural comedian - he uses a bunch of jokes, stories, analogies and the like to get you to stop and think about what he's saying. But don't let that make you think this is a comedy book or he doesn't take his work completely seriously. He's real voice is trying to enlighten people about the zodiac and its effects in people's everyday life. You can read that between the lines.

Anyway, I did what everyone is going to do - and what he says you will do - I jumped right to my own current combo and there it was: that little voice in my head wishing I had read this before. Then I went on to ex-lovers and people I wished it had worked out with. (Don't hate yourself - we're all going to do it.) If you could have seen my face it would have been a bunch of "oops" and "well, yeah" because he zeroes in on what you wish you knew.

Anyway, I think this is his first book and I'm hoping to see more.

No stars! He repeats himself nearly verbatim from one star compatibility to the next, just changing the sign match-ups. Clearly, he put no real research or work into this book. His metaphors were confusing and the ramblings of someone who should be sitting on a corner with a sign rather than a published author.

Excellent tool for true beginners

Fresh out of college with my first "real" job, I went in search of a book aimed at someone with absolutely no investment experience or education. This book has served my purposes perfectly. Aimed at the small investor, this book helps you create a portfolio appropriate to your financial needs, with the result that you are able to start planning for the future without getting in over your head. Easy to read, written in layman's terms with explanations of the basic investment jargon. If your looking to take responsibility for your finacial future, but don't necessarily want to be immersed in Wall Street, this book is for you.

Greatest resource for new investors

This book is the best book on investing I have ever read. It is filled with numerous addresses, phone numbers, and websites with a wealth of investment knowledge. Her illustrations and definitions of various investment terms were the clearest I have seen. I read the entire book in less than 24 hours. I have never saved a dime in my life, but this book inspired me to get a savings account, a CD, and I'm looking for a broker in order to invest in mutual funds. Anyone who needs information on investing should buy this book.

Excellent map for driving around all of Iceland

Excellent map for driving around all of Iceland. We just spent two weeks driving clockwise around Iceland, adding the West Fjords and East Fjords to the usual circuit on the Ring Road. Details of gas stations and museums/points of interest very appreciated and appear to be accurate. We did not feel the need to purchase any of the much more detailed map books carried by the N1 and Olis gas stations.

This map is far superior to the National Geographic map. 1) It is more accurate, showing some of the new tunnels in the northern coast of Iceland, helping us make critical driving decisions. 2) The graphics on this map are much clearer and more readable. Choice of font and color for the text results in superior legibility. I had to keep getting the magnifying glass out to read the Natl Geo map while sitting at the dining room table. That isn't going to work when in the car!

Very helpful to have in conjunction with a GPS as it gives you an overall view of the island. It is also helpful that it is water resistant as we encountered rain and it didn't get damaged.

Must Have for Driving Around Iceland

Wonderful map for our nine day trip around Iceland using mostly 1, the Ring Road. Large enough scale, with enough detail to know where you are without using your phone. We found it handy to identify the mountains you see and know when we would get to the next gas station. Map also includes elevation info.
